JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Instrument Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of process manufacturing equipment and support systems within assigned areas. Candidates must safely and effectively troubleshoot and repair designated equipment. Candidates will complete work orders and document findings, actions and feedback. Candidate will perform preventive maintenance tasks and help identify and implement reliability improvements. Candidate must understand and comply with company safety policies and procedures. Job assignments may include work in chemical operations and plastic Compounding/extrusion. Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime and take call-ins as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays

• Ability to prioritize information and tasks within your assigned area.
• Has knowledge and can correctly complete all safety permitting necessary to perform tasks.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Planning and laying out work, interpreting blueprints, manuals and other specifications.
• Repairing/ modifying or replacing new and existing plant equipment and facilities
• Inspections, lubrications, and diagnosing trouble sources in machinery and equipment.
• Continuously learn on the job and in the classroom as technology changes.
• Safely use a variety of tools and equipment associated with completion of varied work assignments.
• Troubleshoot failures and upsets on plant equipment, including pumps, motors, rotating equipment

What Matters to SABIC

• Completion of a qualified maintenance training program and 3 years relevant work experience.
• Certified Journeyman with a minimum of 3 years of journeyman experience OR a 2 year educational certificate/ Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or other relevant course of study and 3 years applicable work experience
• Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the position
