Maintenance Electrician Jobs

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Electrician is to be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. In addition, the selected candidates will ensure the success of the team by SAFELY performing Preventative and Corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems, as well as proposing and implementing innovative solutions to challenges in the steel making process.

Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor's new sheet mill with advanced steelmaking capabilities. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational in 2025. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV. This is a full-time position located at our offices in Mason County, WV

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Have the ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
• Experience Troubleshooting 480V Motors and Controls.
• Minimum 2 years' industrial maintenance experience.
• Fundamental Electrical Theory knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Steel Mill experience.
• 2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field.
