Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for facilitating student learning and evaluating the theoretical and clinical learning experiences. Participates in formulating and implementing the philosophy, conceptual framework and objectives of the school Duties and Responsibilities: 1. 1. Performs all activities related to the educational program 2. 2. Selects and guides learning experiences in accordance with course objectives 3. 3. Utilizes appropriate instructional modalities in teaching 4. 4. Augments knowledge and skills in area of teaching responsibility 5. 5. Fosters a climate conducive to learning 6. 6. Participates in the selection of appropriate texts for courses 7. 7. Teaches in assigned courses or classes as scheduled 8. 8. Identifies students learning needs relevant to course objectives 9. 9. Participates in selection of clinical units which facilitates student learning 10. 10. Selects clinical assignments aimed at correlating theory with clinical practice 11. 11. Conducts pre and post conferences which enhance student learning 12. 12. Observes and guides students in carrying out their clinical assignments 13. 13. Maintains progress reports for all assigned students 14. 14. Participates in preparation, administration and analysis of examinations 15. 15. Reviews students’ overall progress with course faculty 16. 16. Attends all course meetings
Requirements:
- Requirements for Position 1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program associated with a regionally accredited institution of higher education 2. Doctorate preferred, Master’s degree in nursing (Doctoral degree earned or in final semester with pending graduation date etc. PhD, DNP, DNS, JD, EdD, etc.) 3. Certification for nursing area of expertise if applicable 4. Unencumbered license as a registered nurse and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and eligible for immediate licensure in the state of NY 5. Didactic and clinical expertise in one of the following areas: Geriatric, Maternal-Child Health, Medical-Surgical, Mental Health, Simulation Technology Preferred Skills, e.g., language requirements Qualifying questions for Talent Acquisition to ask candidate Remarks or Special Instructions

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $82,626.29 - $89,999.91 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
