Ceremonia is expanding quickly and to support the exciting growth ahead, Ceremonia is looking for an all-star In-House Chemist to join our growing team!

As an In-House Chemist at Ceremonia, you will play a vital role in developing innovative products independently in a timely manner. Through your expertise and experimentation in the lab, you will be responsible for creating new formulations and conducting thorough testing. Your daily technical support will extend to our internal teams, ensuring they have the necessary information and guidance.

You will be responsible for:

• Data Organization and Presentations: Organize data and create presentations to support technical information (PIF, raw material lead time, product fact sheets, etc.), making it easily accessible for internal and external stakeholders.
• Innovation and Market Engagement: Actively participate in internal innovation initiatives, market segment meetings, conferences, and trade shows. Present testing results, share developments, and stay updated on industry trends.
• Prototyping and Consumer Feedback: Create prototypes of new products and collect valuable consumer feedback to refine formulations and enhance product performance.
• Collaboration with Contract Manufacturers: Take the lead with PD Project Manager in scaling up formulas by collaborating closely with contract manufacturers. Ensure successful production and adherence to quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, creative, and supply chain teams to understand current and future needs. Offer technical guidance and support to ensure product alignment and successful launches.
• Ingredient Vendor Partnerships: Foster strong partnerships with ingredient vendors, staying updated on new ingredients, technologies, and industry developments.
• Product Development: Utilize your knowledge of cosmetic chemistry to develop new formulations that align with Brand DNA. Conduct lab testing and experimentation to achieve desired results. Distribute and manage sample distributions, collect feedback, and make iterations until the desired formulation is achieved
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to the sales team and customer service team, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance on product usage and benefits.
• Lab Establishment: Take the lead in setting up Ceremonia's internal lab, ensuring it is well-equipped and organized for efficient product development and testing.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in cosmetic formulation and product development.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetic chemistry principles and ingredient functionality.
• Familiarity with lab testing techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
