JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox Corporation is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Los Angeles Platforms Services Infrastructure team. Our premiere Platform is the digital foundation of all Fox brands and their Web/Mobile/OTT properties. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for building Fox’s large scale public facing digital infrastructure and applications used by millions of users across web, mobile, and living room devices, and our systems power marquee programming and events, such as World Series, Super Bowl, FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFA World Cup, Local and National Elections, Weather, and Breaking News. You will work closely with multiple Engineering teams and assist with the architecture and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and applications.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and integrate tools to automate operational processes for improved CI/CD infrastructure automation, security, capacity provisioning, cost and performance optimizations
  • Build and maintain secure and scalable cloud solutions for highly available digital services
  • Build and improve our alerting and escalation mechanisms
  • Provide on-call support
  • Work with other engineering teams, to drive projects in an Agile environment
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Strong understanding of DNS, HTTP, TCPDUMP, CDNs, SSL, WAFs, Git, and networking concepts (VPC, subnetting, ZeroTrust, NAT, etc)
  • Passion for learning
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Cloudformation/Terraform/Ansible
  • Experience with serverless computing and with containerization technologies such as Docker, Fargate, ECS, Kubernetes
  • Experience working and developing on *nix environments
  • Experience building and managing application infrastructure on AWS (using services such as IAM, API Gateway, S3, Dynamodb, RDS, SQS, VPC, EC2, ECS, Lambda, Opensearch)
  • Experience building infrastructure automation pipelines with tools such as Github Actions, Jenkins
  • Practical knowledge of microservice architecture and service discovery, service mesh, such as Consul, Linkerd, AWS App Mesh
  • Strong experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Nodejs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good understanding of operational consents and tooling, including monitoring and logging platforms such as Datadog
