Our client is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist who will cover planning and delivery of employee and customer support services including installation, consultation, troubleshooting, user assistance and training.
Responsibilities may include diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents; planning and analysis of work processes; researching and reporting trends and patterns of problems; developing and maintaining problem tracking databases; installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software; performing backup and recovery operations; consulting with users to identify needs and requirements; ensuring the rigorous application of information security policies, principles and practices.
In addition, the candidate will work with the company's parent company CIO, CISO and Chief Risk Officer to leverage the people, process and technologies that will host the company's infrastructure and information security systems.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the management of hardware and software licenses and project future needs.
- Perform analytical, technical, and administrative work in the planning and installation of new and existing personal devices and workstations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user devices and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization.
- Train end users in the use of equipment and software.
- Work closely with different departments within the FCM to deliver new and enhanced products.
- Evaluate products for compatibility, expandability, and ease of use and support.
- Prepare progress reports for all work performed.
- Install new hardware and software and maintains existing components.
- Confer with end users to determine types of hardware and software required.
- Recommend to management the support or nonsupport of evaluated products.
- Install, troubleshoot and handle support for Microsoft Windows, Google Workspace, and other systems and software
- Perform general maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve problems in response to customer reported incidents.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of latest technological advances that could benefit the FCM.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and best information security practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Reasonable understanding of IT General Control best practices and industry standards.
- Ability to work through a problem, analyze root cause and propose solution.
- Working knowledge of FCM/futures industry or financial services a plus.
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or other tech-related courses preferred.
