Minimum Qualifications


Completion of 60 semester credits to include 15 semester credits in Computer Science, Cartography, Geography or related field. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

This vacancy is for an entry level technical position with administrative responsibilities within the Transportation and Customer Experience Solutions Division of the Information Technology Department (ITD) providing user and system support for Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW).

This position involves:

  • Assisting with diagnosing software and hardware issues, testing, applying software fixes and updates for DTPW Commercial Off-The-Shelf and in-house developed systems.
  • Assisting with business and process analysis for new systems/software implementations, including technical documentation, quality assurance and control.
  • Serve as liaison for research, and review technical specifications for software and hardware procurement requests from DTPW.
  • Assist with configuration and setup of wireless software and hardware, such as Mobile Device Management (MDM) software on DTPW tablets and cellular phones.
  • Assist with the processing and tracking of systems/software annual maintenance renewals, invoices, budget and expenses.
