Role- IT Network Engineer

Location- New York City, NY and Pittsburg, PA

Description:

- Support various security and service-based technologies as necessary. Installation and configuration of Network infrastructure systems. Operation and maintenance of Network devices. Apply technical training, experience, and knowledge in order to assist Customers and other technicians in the support of Network systems. Use specialized tools, techniques, and procedures to identify and understand various product problems and to select appropriate actions to resolve. Perform problem determination and root cause analysis utilizing available diagnostics, documentation, service aids and other tools including but not limited to Knowledge-based systems, other computer-based applications, and other technical resources.

- Must be experienced in the design, installation, configuration, performance tuning, and maintenance of infrastructure and access layer Networking devices including firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, and various kinds of security protection. Utilize expertise in Network creation and enterprise-wide solutions including sourcing and testing of Open Source solutions to achieve various levels of Network and security monitoring and Network performance reporting. Maintains services and connectivity. 7-10 years of network administration and design implementation, installation, and configuration experience required.

Responsibilities:

- Help optimize workflow and deliver high level programs.

- Communication skills required, understand change control, build diagrams.

- Strong is Cisco space-someone who can route switch with data center experience.

- Experience/Layer 2 extensions/VXLAN Fabric.

- Banking experience.

- Fabric manager experience (NDFC/Data center network management), Nexus dashboard.

- Knowledge on Spine-Leaf Architecture is a plus.

- Ansible.

- Able to work with little supervision.

- CCNP Certification.

- Perform network design, testing, implementation, documentation, and on-going support for data center and enterprise projects.

- Provides technical project management for initial network builds and expansions,

- Participating teleconferences and in person meetings for designing, implementing, testing or performing troubleshooting support of our networks.

- Research and evaluate network solutions based on corporate standards and business requirements.

- Perform peer reviews of configurations and design for remote site projects

- Assess situations and perform proactive analytics for change in order to minimize issues before they evolve.

- Work with vendors and support experts on efforts of continuous improvement of the environment by recommending / implementing infrastructure solutions and options that are of value add and cost effective for the business.

- Document, update and maintain all technical diagrams, procedures and processes related to supporting the network and all associated infrastructure.

- Coordinate and implement off business hour deployments of equipment in data center and campus locations.
