I am developing the commercial strategy of this Brazilian multinational for the American market.

Strategy is a critical function at the industrial company, responsible for shaping enterprise-wide, business unit and functional strategies.

Our Strategy team acts as a critical advisor to the Global Leadership Team by framing key choices, providing a well-reasoned point of view, and ensuring choices are made and effectively translated into action.

As a member of the team, a Strategy Director leads strategic thinking, direction setting, and complex problem solving to enable the company’s strategic growth agenda as well as business model innovation as a pursuit of this agenda.

He/she will oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and will need to operate at both a detailed, analytical level and a broad, strategic, general manager level. This role will provide strategic direction and problem solving for our M&A, emerging growth areas and enterprise landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Setting M&A Strategy & evaluating new M&A and business development opportunities in partnership with the M&A team at the industrial company.

• Leading complex problem solving and addressing strategic issues/decisions as needed
• Independently own and execute strategy projects, including scoping, work planning, and stakeholder engagement.
• Supporting corporate strategy development, business development, scenario modeling, etc.
• Expected to be recognized as an established leader and consultative partner amongst senior leaders.
• Developing executive-level presentations for the CGO and CEO (EC updates, Board presentations, external speaking engagements, etc.)
• Leading cross-functional business intelligence initiatives for the company
• Incorporate M&A targets in Enterprise strategy and tie to Business Unit targets

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent marketplace experience highly preferred

Experience: 10-12 years of combined experience in leading CPG company or strategic consulting firm. Management expertise. Experience leading strategic and data-driven recommendations and decisions. Understanding of market research and techniques. Experience driving change in a complex business environment.
