Industrial Designer Jobs

Lime Design is a full-service Product Development Company based in South Florida, with our headquarters located in the heart of Downtown Hollywood, FL.

As an industrial/product designer on our team, it is essential that you have the ability to interpret and incorporate the wants and needs of our clients and their consumers into the design features of the product. We are seeking someone who possesses a creative eye and can think innovatively to create solutions that meet the requirements of the product. Additionally, excellent communication skills and high-quality product sketching ability are a must. Proficiency in 3D modeling and surfacing, as well as good craftsmanship, are also essential for this position.

You will:

• Work closely with a project/product manager
• Propose possible manufacturing processes and materials
• 3D print and prototype products
• 3D model and make technical drawings in Solidworks
• Research trends, market, mechanisms, and product features
• Sketch concepts and digitally hand draw renders of the proposals
• Present projects to clients
• Brainstorm with the team and clients

The tools you will use:

• Autodesk Sketchbook Pro
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• CNC Router
• Laser and Plasma cutter
• FDM, SLA and Polyjet 3D printers
• Solidworks
• Other power and hand tools
• Any other extra tool knowledge you have counts as a bonus

We are looking for the following:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial design or product engineering or similar
• Availability to work full-time and on-site from Monday to Friday
• 2+ years of hands-on product design experience

Bonus points:

• Experience in manufacturing
• Basic or intermediate Mechanical engineering or electrical engineering knowledge
• Surfacing 3D modeling
• Designed products in the market
