We seek an exceptional individual to lead our talented, diverse, and passionate Industrial Design team. The successful applicant will thoroughly understand the concept and iteration process and be able to articulate ideas and solutions through strong visual and verbal communication. They will have a passion for working at the intersection of product, user, and environment - on a wide range of projects with a fun, creative, and collaborative team. The ideal candidate must be driven by an outstanding work ethic, a dynamic spirit for Industrial Design, and a desire to substantially impact the productivity and success of our team, products, and customers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Serve as a key contributor, a team leader, and a three-dimensional thinker focused on Industrial Design and New Product Development.
o Oversee Industrial Design initiatives with intentful planning, execution, and accountability.
o Drive strong progressive thinking, ideation, and iterative concept developments to deliver valuable ideas consistently.
o Support and elevate the team's ability to visually communicate concepts quickly and effectively. Seamlessly progress concepts from sketch to Solidworks to rendered image.
o Evolve, manage, and implement Visual Brand Languages for MFT's house of brands.
o Participate in and manage the development effort of multiple products, simultaneously ensuring cost, schedule, performance, and manufacturability requirements are met.
o Generate and communicate original design concepts and practical product solutions suitable for mass production.
o Investigate new technologies and techniques that could enhance our products' competitiveness.
o Research market and industry trends and participate in field research to identify user needs and translate them into feasible solutions.
o Write documentation around Industrial Design systems and processes to share knowledge and improve team efficiency.
o Be a change agent to provide great customer and user experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Design with 10+ years of professional experience managing projects and people.
o A strong, original portfolio of creative work from concept to market
o Excellent conceptual skills and ability to rapidly ideate and describe concepts clearly.
o Demonstrated proficiency with Sketchbook, SolidWorks, Keyshot, and Adobe Creative Suite
o An effective team leader who coaches team members on achieving goals and developing necessary skills that get results.
o Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties
o Successful experience in new product development.
o Strong attention to detail, coupled with an instinct for experimentation.
o Ability to multi-task and meet very tight deadlines.
o Self-managing, highly motivated, and enjoys collaborative problem-solving.
o Ability to interact successfully with Engineering and Marketing teams, customers, and suppliers.
o Hand Modeling / Prototyping is a plus.
o Experience with GUI and product graphics is a major plus.
o Travel up to 10%
