WE ARE COLLOIDS INC, PART OF THE TOSAF GROUP

We are currently seeking an IE Technician to join our Maintenance Team based at our Baytown site in Texas. This is a onetime opportunity to set up, install and commission the whole business from the ground up. This role will be reporting directly to the Site Manager and will interact with all departments across the business. Work will be a mixture of reactive and planned tasks prioritised by the Site Manager / Shift Managers and Planning Department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completion of breakdown tasks in a timely manner aiming to minimise shift downtime.
• Understand plant priorities and liaise with Managers / Production / Planning to ensure breakdowns are prioritised correctly.
• Customer focused on attitude towards breakdowns.
• Accurate completion of repair handover to Production Management Team.
• Reports in delays in repair to Shift Management team.

EXPERIENCE

• Basic computer literacy, as well as experience of using CMMS software desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and highly customer focused.
• Experienced at interpreting electrical / mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communicator across shifts within Engineering team and with Shift managers / Process Operators.
• Calibration and Maintenance of Plant and Platform instrumentation
• Repair and maintenance of plant machinery and other equipment
• Experience in masterbatch, plastics or rubber production desirable
• Ability to self-manage during shift hours.
• Maintain and repair all commercial equipment
• Electrical – High school or Trade Certificate in Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineering
• Qualified, Experienced IE Technician
• Maintenance and repair to Gas Analysis & Lab equipment
• Maintenance and Repair on all electrically driven equipment in the facilities
• Installation, Maintenance and Repair to all HVAC system

PACKAGE:

• Salary: $55,000 – $75,000 depending on grade & experience.
• Hours: Days 8am – 5pm (some weekend work, if and when required).
• U.S. Only: Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Colloids/Tosaf is required.
