Job Description
Description:

The ASC Radiology (Fluoro) Technician performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. This includes preparing/positioning the patient and adjusting immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of the specified area, mixing contrast media, processing images and maintaining records of work performed. In addition, the position explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.

Requirements:

We are searching for a candidate who:

  • Has a strong knowledge of safety and security procedures, with the ability to identify and report potentially unsafe conditions, equipment and materials
  • Knows how to move imaging equipment into specified position; determine exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required; and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy
  • Will provide excellent customer service while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Is able to comprehend verbal orders and direction
  • Can communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians and coworkers

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, AART certification, and active TN medical x-ray operator license. Three (3) years’ work experience with fluoroscopy, including neurosurgery and pain procedures is preferred.

The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), electronic medical records and medical practice software. Organizational skills with attention to detail are required.
