Job Title: Identity and Access Management Engineer

FLSA: Exempt

As an Identity and Access Management Engineer you will utilize your business and technical knowledge to solve complex challenges associated with the access, provisioning, and automation of user identities. This role will help design, develop, test, implement, and integrate identity and access management frameworks, systems, and protocols to help ensure the right access is assigned at the right time to users. You will be responsible for the implementation of application single sign on (SSO), authentication and access controls systems, and the integrity of IAM systems and data. Through relationships with other IT and operational teams, this role works to influence the organization towards a more resilient, automated, and standardized IAM operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as an escalation resource for the team, the company, and its subsidiaries for identity and access related issues
  • Creates, updates, and contributes to company standards and requirements, particularly requirements associated with identity
  • Advises business and technical teams on identity best practices and available solutions
  • Has a strong ability to define requirements and an engineering plan to integrate identity through the lifecycle of various projects and business challenges
  • Develops, implements, and maintains identity and access management solutions and systems
  • Serves as the subject matter expert in managing and maintaining Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Troubleshoots, identifies, and resolves technical identity and access management related issues
  • Identifies and recommends key objectives, KPI’s, and goals to further mature and enhance the identity and access management organization

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Provides technical advice and assistance to peers
  • No direct supervisory responsibility
  • Advises the team on the prioritization of projects and tasks, and provides mentorship with a focus on developing the team's technical abilities
  • Responsible for defining and executing clear documentation and objectives for projects, processes, and tasks performed by Identity Analysts

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with technology such as single sign-on (SSO), two-factor authentication, privileged access management, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute in an environment with multiple stakeholders, directories, and subsidiaries
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with authentication standards and technologies such as SAML, OIDC, JWT, and LDAP
  • Skill in mentoring, coaching, team training
  • Related industry or technology certification preferred (CISSP, CIMP, etc.)
  • Extensive hands-on experience of identity and access management best practices, procedures, and software such as Active Directory, Okta, CyberArk, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to solve complex challenges with a methodical, analytical approach
  • At least 3 years of experience in an identity and access management related role
