The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst supports the College’s information security program by operating, evaluating, improving, and maintaining robust identity and access management systems. The IAM Analyst is primarily responsible for working with the information security teams in the delivery and evolution of identity management services that support the mission of the College. Other security responsibilities outside of Identity and Access Management (IAM) may also be assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working in a team environment, responsible for satisfying routine service requests, operational tasks, incident response, and problem resolution. Documents important procedures, technical instructions, and process knowledge.
- Researches and recommends innovative approaches, applications, and tools, to enhance the College’s IAM capabilities.
- Develops and maintains technical competencies within and related to operating IAM systems such as WebSSO (Shibboleth IdP, CAS), access governance (Internet2 Grouper), enterprise directories (OpenLDAP, AD), and identity management (COmanage).
- Works with campus constituents, IT service teams, and vendor partners on service improvement projects and routine upgrades. Configures IAM systems functionality and provides application security administration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
- Ability to work independently, one-on-one, or with a team
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills as needed
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Enterprise Directories – OpenLDAP, AD
- WebSSO – CAS, Shibboleth
- Programming experience – Python
- Access Governance – Grouper
- Experience operating in public cloud infrastructure – AWS
- Identity Management – COmanage
