Human Resources Generalist - Fitness Franchise

A well-known fitness franchise is currently seeking an organized, motivated contracted HR Generalist ASAP. This position will be fully remote in a temp-to-perm capacity. The ideal candidate will be able to act under pressure, be flexible and wear many hats, as well as have previous experience in the fitness industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with recruiting efforts—open job requisitions, draft job postings, screen resumes, and candidates, coordinate interviews, write offer letters, and maintain recruitment status reports
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Respond to employee questions and requests
• Partner with Head of HR on new location setup
• Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll and other pay-related transactions, including updates to employee files, bonus/incentive/special pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, benefit changes, etc
• Coordinate and plan for employee onboarding and new hire paperwork
• Maintain HR records, employee files, and employee data

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail or fitness industries is required
• Must feel comfortable supporting with payroll but does NOT need a payroll specialist
• Previous experience working on a lean team
