Our client is looking to hire a Human Resources Business Partner role in the city of Salinas, CA. This is direct hire opportunity for our client. Note: this position is fully onsite.


Position Summary:

We are seeking an energetic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team! The Human Resources Business Partner will provide HR and Safety support to our Salinas plant management team and hourly employees in a fast-paced packaging environment. The HRBP is responsible for the development and implementation of effective employee relations, recognition, recruiting and selection processes, retention and safety training programs. HRBP will partner, consult and contribute to business unit decisions and strategy and translate these strategies into tangible HR priorities while ensuring the business and/or functional group is in compliance with all applicable laws and policies.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish speakers preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience in packaging, manufacturing or distribution center environment is strongly preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Conducts NHO with Non-Exempt associates.
  • Lead HR process improvement initiatives, special projects and/or training(s) from start to finish.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Works day to day with staffing agency on personnel needs
  • Provide HR leadership as a results’ focused change agent in the areas of employee engagement, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employee communications, training/benefits, Safety, and policy interpretation.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Interact with employees in assigned areas of responsibility to answer questions, facilitate issue resolution, improve employee morale and maintain visibility of the HR function.
  • Manage and report on HR KPI’s and core data and provide insight, leadership and support for short-term and long-term workforce planning using data driven analysis for exempt and non-exempt staff.
  • Lead recruitment and selection activities including working with functional leaders to determine position requirements, prepare postings, participate in the screening and selection process, and provide feedback and guidance to hiring managers.
  • Implement company culture, values and policies.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Works closely with supervisors on Daily attendance trends and allocation by department.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Lead and implement environmental health and safety programs.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
