Job Description

Leap Group is hiring a part-time [20 hours per week] Human Resources Assistant to support the HR function for our group of full-service digital marketing agencies.

If you're a detail-oriented, people-centric professional interested in joining a collaborative team with supportive benefits, we'd love to hear from you.

WHY JOIN OUR TEAM?

When joining Leap Group, you're joining a team that is passionate, innovative, and connected. Some words we've heard our teammates use to describe our culture are welcoming, collaborative, flexible, and dog-friendly [warning: your interview may be accompanied by a wagging tail.]

We give our team the ability to make an impact, while expanding their experience and depth of knowledge in the process. We like to show our appreciation for everything our teammates do by offering supportive and inclusive benefits that allow them to thrive. This includes things like:

  • Paid maternity and paternity leave
  • Company-paid access to coaching and therapy
  • Remote work
  • Autonomy and flexibility
  • Paid professional development opportunities
  • Hybrid remote work options
  • 401k plan with 1:1 access to investment advisor and partial company match
  • Paid time off
  • Health, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits

DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE MARKETING COMES FROM DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE TEAMS

We recognize our teammates are our greatest assets in helping our client's market less and matter more. Diverse backgrounds, opinions and perspectives on our team allow us to expand our own perspectives and, in the process, create solutions that are innovative, creative, and strategic. This is particularly true of the HR function this role supports.

We're constantly working to transform our agencies and industry into spaces that are more diverse, equitable, and inclusive, and we welcome the addition of YOUR unique voice and perspective. Don't forget to ask us about our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion during your interview.

WHO IS THE HR ASSISTANT

The HR Assistant provides direct support to Leap's HR Manager. You interface with teammates with warmth and professionalism, navigating both administrative and interpersonal tasks with ease.

This role is an opportunity to be a part of a creative, agency environment and grow your knowledge of the HR discipline. Leap's people operations function is engaged, creative, and fast-paced.

A day in the life might include:

  • Supporting the HR Manager as needed in other people-operations tasks, including leave management, policy administration, documentation, training and development, benefits administration, and other priorities.
  • Managing HR and administrative systems for accuracy.
  • Helping recruit for open roles at Leap [posting job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews.]
  • Facilitating a positive onboarding experience for new teammates.
  • Assisting with Leap's diversity & inclusion initiatives.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

  • Aptitude for time-management and deadline-orientation
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • 2+ years office experience or other relevant experience/education [prior HR experience preferred but not required]
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care and discretion

Important note: if you think you have what it takes to be a great HR Assistant but don't necessarily meet all of these qualifications, please still apply! While we work hard to eliminate unnecessary requirements from our job ads, our teams and needs are constantly evolving, and we'd always love the opportunity to connect and see what might be a fit.

WHERE IS THIS ROLE?

Leap Group has a footprint in the Midwest, with office locations in Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH, and Indianapolis, IN. This role is open to remote candidates, preferably located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

HOW MUCH DOES IT PAY?

This role will work 20 hours per week, and the hourly range for this position is $14 per hour to $18 per hour.

As a part of our commitment to equitable compensation, our team will never ask you about your current salary or salary history.
