Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for policy implementation, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, high level recruitment, and employement law compliance. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.

Responsibilities


  • Completes ACA reporting and maintains FMLA, short term disability pay, unemployement claims, and workers compensations claims.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal Responsibilities including OSHA compliance and safety.
  • Assist in developing and implementing personnel polices and procedures, including maintaining employee handbooks.
  • Provides supervisor training and reminders to assure fair evaluations of personnel and timely completion.
  • Advises and assists supervisory personnel on administering disciplinary procedures, refereeing disputes, hiring, transfers, demotions, and terminations as well as ensuring that they are well documented and properly maintained in employees files.
  • Complete weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now, processing new hire paperwork, benefits administration including open enrollment and clarification of coverage for all employees.
  • Takes active role in morale improvement and employee appreciation.


Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similiar payroll system is preferred.
  • Certification in Human Resources from HR Certification Institute and/or Society of Human Resource Management preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and navigating the Internet.
  • 2+ years' of experience working in Human Resources
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
