Job Description

Job title:Human Resource Generalist

Job Location:Milan, OH

Duration: 6 months + ext


This position will assist the Human Resources/Training Supervisor with highly responsible and confidential services in the administration and delivery of a full spectrum of human resource programs and activities for hourly and salaried employees at the Avery Plant. Under limited supervision, perform administrative duties following established human resource policy and procedures in the following areas: group life and medical plans, wellness program, hourly attendance, salaried and hourly payroll, and vacation tracking to name a few. Help administer the Collective bargaining agreement in administering wages, job bidding and hourly employee movement, short/long term disability, vacation pay, etc. Assist corporate Human Resources for additional support during annual open enrollment etc. Involves frequent contact, and a working knowledge of the benefits, policies, and procedures, of local, state, and federal employment laws. This position reports directly to the Human Resource Manager.


Qualification :


  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is required, as well as three (3) to five (5) years Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to effectively interact with plant management personnel and the hourly and salaried workforce.
  • Must have a complete and thorough understanding of general business concepts in operations.
  • Must have strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills, as well as strong computer skills and knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PeopleSoft andKronosknowledge is a plus.
