GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Acts as administrative support to the Human Resources Manager performing a wide variety of tasks relating to Human Resources and Administration.
SUPERVISED BY: Human Resources Manager
SUPERVISES: Not applicable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for daily maintenance of personnel files for all employees. Ensures strict confidentiality of all employment and payroll related documents.
Maintains adequate supply of HR forms and supplies.
Screening resumes; scheduling interviews and proctoring new hire paperwork.
Conducts new employee orientation.
Coordinates new employee benefits enrollment meetings.
Enters new employees into payroll system
Acts as backup to payroll supervisor
Books any employee education travel arrangements for clinical departments
Handles all auxiliary deduction or reimbursement from payroll (uniforms, travel expense, continuing education, etc.)
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience
- 1 year of HRIS experience
- Basic excel skills
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Recruiting experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE:
A thorough understanding of a computerized office setting.
SKILLS:
- Ability to follow oral and written communication.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office.
- Excellent phone communications (courteously and effectively).
- Excellent verbal and written communications with computerization of data for confidential reasons.
- Analytical skills.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Exercise initiative to follow through on projects for timeliness and completeness.
- Ability to work with various administrative staff members.
- Sit for prolonged periods at computer.
- Hand-eye coordination skills.
ENVIRONMENAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Minimal traffic volume. Routine office surroundings.
EXPOSURE DETERMINATION TO BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS:
Category III: Classification in which employee has no occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
