Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions.


The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day activities related to payroll and HR administration, providing support to other HR team members and to all employees in the company.


What will you do?


  • Conduct retroactive adjustments for salary/wages, deductions (general and or benefits) or overpayments
  • Serve as primary point of contact for payroll and HR system questions; manage payroll inbox and JIRA ticketing system, responding to internal partners in a timely manner.
  • Process new hire paperwork to include setting up employee files and managing I-9 process through HireRight.
  • Provide data/reports to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring security and confidentiality with sensitive data.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees; sharing helpful information and anticipating needs to keep the HR team and all employees up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to understand and support data updates and payroll needs; based on transaction of new hires, terminations, pay rates; as well as changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, etc.
  • Partner with Ceridian Dayforce tax team to ensure all tax filings are timely and accurate
  • Ensure the payroll platform is configured accurately, and that earnings and deduction codes are set up correctly based on Federal and State wage & hour regulations
  • Enter and maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS system; conduct audits to ensure data integrity and compliance, and coordinate with internal departments as appropriate to resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct training for employees, managers and new hires to ensure utilization of the HR System is understood.
  • Assist with processing semi-monthly payroll in Ceridian Dayforce, carefully reviewing wages and deductions to ensure accurate computation of pay. Review all time entry, partnering with employees and managers for any missing time & labor entries to ensure employees are paid accurately
  • Partner with HR Team members to ensure employees on leave of absence are paid accurately, manage retroactive deductions for benefits.
  • Process bonus and commission payments; as well as separation pay to include PTO payout
  • Analyze and troubleshoot payroll issues, communicating to affected stakeholders with timely resolution.


What will you bring to the table?


  • Self-starter, with the ability to see tasks through to completion
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills along with proficient attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and/or time-dependent activities
  • 3+ years of HR Systems experience, Ceridian Dayforce experience a plus
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proactive team player, strong collaboration with others
  • 2+ years of payroll experience
  • Customer service mindset, exuding strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at any level of organization
  • Strong MS Office skills and proficiency in learning new systems quickly
  • Proven history of discretion in handling confidential information
