Job Description
The General HR Specialist is responsible for analyzing HR data and performing various HR departmental functions, including recruitment, HR compliance, employee experience, and administrative tasks. They will also provide advice to employees and management regarding personnel policies, programs, and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Manage administrative tasks, including expense reporting, employee communications, and event planning.
  • Oversee employee experience initiatives, such as employee recognition programs and events.
  • Manage HR compliance, including maintaining personnel files, employment/wage & hour postings, and training files.
  • Provide general support to the Executive Team, including travel arrangements.
  • Create useful reports for workforce analysis and decision-making.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including standardizing job postings, tracking candidates, and utilizing recruiting tools.
RequirementsQualifications & Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with HRIS/Payroll platforms, with knowledge of ADP Workforce Now as a plus.
  • 3-5 years of HR/Payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with employees and ability to provide and receive feedback in a respectful manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with professionalism and integrity.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
This position works in a professional office environment and operates standard office equipment. The employee will regularly sit, use computers, walk around the office and production areas, and lift up to 15 lbs. at times. The noise level is usually moderate.
