The Summary
- Assures fair and consistent administration of all human resources policies and practices.
- Manages payroll provider and bi-weekly submittal of payroll and any payroll audits.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Performs recruitment activities which include posting open positions, reviewing resumes, screening applicants as well as setting up/coordinating any interviews with hiring managers.
- Support HR initiatives centered around employee engagement, employment law compliance, talent management, process improvement, policy interpretation, etc.
- Lives and leads with values that enhance the culture of the organization.
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Manages the onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintains accurate records within HRIS system and prepares any necessary reports.
- Provides day-to-day employee relations and performance counseling.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, project management and follow-up skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent customer service orientation and ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to exercise the utmost discretion in matters of confidentiality.
- Broad knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Willingness to think outside the box.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Solid knowledge across multiple HR disciplines.
- Minimum of two years directly related human resources experience.
- Payroll processing experience is preferred, but not necessary.
- SHRM or HRCI Certification a plus
- Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills.
- Have a desire to learn, accept new challenges, and have fun.
