Summary, , And Qualifications


Job Title: HR Communications and Training Manager


Reports To: CHRO


Summary


This position is r esponsible for coordinating internal and/or external communications output for TVN related to employee engagement and recruitment, clinical and administrative training and education initiatives, and new programs/services or updates to program/services with the objective to create and maintain a positive public image for the organization and help ensure employees and all stakeholders understand TVN’s mission and vision; and are informed of our progress and feel personally connected to the company and each other.


Primary Responsibilities


  • May provide training support when needed and participate in monthly new hire employee orientation.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
  • Provide innovative approaches from concept to completion for the production of a broad array of internal and external promotional and communication materials which present a clear, unified, and positive image for TVN and ensures consistent corporate branding, messaging, tone, visual cohesiveness, and compliance.
  • Create, review, edit and/or deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, story ideas, executive bios, corporate internal newsletter content, social media content, speaking proposals, podium speeches, briefing materials, senior management draft speeches, PowerPoint presentations, etc. related to employee engagement activities, recruitment and retention efforts, press interviews, TVN town hall meetings, training and education initiatives, strategic initiatives and change management activities, etc.
  • Promote and report on corporate milestones and activities such as company goals, new projects, or updates on current projects; new programs/services; employee-centric activities such as new hires, promotions, retirements, training and education initiatives, etc. This will be done through an internal employee newsletter, social media posts, website updates, external newsletter, emails, posters, etc.
  • Create specific communications action plans, timelines, and defined deliverables that support internal and external corporate messaging helping to shape culture, drive engagement, and deliver results.
  • Serve as initial contact between the organization and the public and respond to requests from media contacts, including crisis communications.
  • Participate on Training and Education Committee to ensure the schedule of trainings are being communicated to staff and provide descriptions of the trainings.
  • Participate on the MAR-COM team to help in evaluating advertising campaigns to ensure consistency with the organization’s strategy.


Corporate Branding & Marketing


  • Create and manage company literature, brochures, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with The Village Network’s brand standards and related SOPs
  • Oversee development of posters, plaques, corporate-logoed items such as t-shirts, and brand-related signage, etc., as it relates to the responsibilities of this position.


Social Media


  • Assist in ad-hoc projects and other duties as needed.
  • Provide social media and website page updates related to employee engagement activities, recruitment, employee relations, corporate training and education, new programs and services, etc.


Knowledge And Skill Requirements


  • PR or communications experience including branding, key messaging, and layout design experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Training or related degree.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, as well as verbal and written skills.
  • 5 years of experience in corporate communications, internal marketing, training/education, and/or project coordination, with increasing responsibility and proven organizational and planning abilities.
  • Strong PowerPoint slide composition and graphic designing skills preferred.


Physical Demands


  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently
  • Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, computer printer, etc.
