Job Description
Summary
  • Experience: Human Resources administrative support.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel - Continuously Over 2/3 (5.5 – 8 hours)
  • READING - Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Talk or hear - Continuously Over 2/3 (5.5 – 8 hours)
  • The HR Assistant-Employment provides administrative support in the hiring and on-boarding of all non-physician new hires and transfers. Applies excellent communication and customer service skills to promote a positive experience for employees, applicants and the general public. Responds to employment inquiries promptly and accurately explains St. Luke’s employment processes and policies as requested. The HR Assistant-Employment ensures that all job vacancies are posted properly and all job applications are processed and maintained properly. Also assists with General Hospital Orientation, and serves as backup for job description updating.

  • SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.

  • Up to 10 pounds - Frequently 1/3 to 2/3 (2.5 – 5.5 hours)
  • Excellent communication, customer service and collaboration skills. Knowledge of basic personnel principles. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
  • WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
