Job Description

Farmingdale State College is looking for a qualified Human Resources Assistant. The responsibilities of the job will be as follows:

  • Ensure that adequate internal control exists and is maintained for PT appointments.
  • Collaboration with all areas of campus community in order to assist with the process of Adjunct/PT Administration.
  • Maintain and prepare in-depth reports relative to adjunct and PT payroll.
  • Appointment Processing - Review part time appointments; verify data including, personnel information, semester dates, course information, update and maintain multiple excel workbooks.
  • Electronic Routing of Forms - Using Interview Exchange software program. Employee will be responsible for routing all PT forms to the required approvers, check routing information for accuracy and answer all questions from users. Responsible for tracking and following up on all electronic forms submitted in the system. Run reports to assist with form status.
  • Create mail merge to generate electronic contract letters to all part time faculty and staff.

Job Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive confidential information.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft 365.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Either 1 year of experience working in a Human Resources Department or the equivalent student experience working in a college administrative office.
  • Experience working on an HRIS or other type of database system.
  • Graduate of Farmingdale State College.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access.
  • Experience working at Farmingdale State College.

Additional Information:


This is a full-time UUP position.

  • Salary: $50,000 + $3,026 in downstate location pay = $53,026 Total Annual Compensation.
  • For the first 10 working days, beginning Tuesday, July 18, 2023 and ending Monday, July 31, 2023, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.
