What you will have an opportunity to do:

SUMMARY

Assists the Housekeeping Manager in the coordination and supervision of all housekeeping and laundry activities. Ensures clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of our property.

DESCRIPTION

Ensures Willows quality standards of cleanliness in our guest rooms, guest corridors, service areas and stairwells (5-star standards).

Inspects guest rooms and follows the guest room checklist to ensure that room attendants accountable to follow this.

Holds housepersons accountable for completing their daily checklists.

Maintains clear and effective communication/direction with room attendants, housepersons, and laundry attendnats to support positive behavior and correct improvement opportunities.

Opens the Department, assigns room attendant/houseperson zones. Logs out keys and radios.

Closes the Department, logs in keys and radios, ensures rooms are punched in computer system. Closes Housekeeping office and Laundry.

Fills in positions as needed (room cleaning/houseperson/laundry) or any area directed by Housekeeping Manager and/or Rooms Manager.

Reports and logs in system any maintenance problems on a daily basis.

Orders and inventories supplies needed for housekeeping and laundry services.

Communicates well and on a timely basis with our Front Desk in ensuring guestrooms are ready upon check in time.

Assists in any areas assigned by Housekeeping Manager and/or Rooms Manager.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Hiring wage range: $26.00/Hour - $30.00/Hour
  • Eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance under our existing group plans
  • 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40 hours each week
  • Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to multi-task and delgate
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and nonverbal
  • Prefer luxury hotel experience
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Prefer bi-lingual language abilities in English and Spanish
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to add, subract, multiply,and dive in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Office proficiently
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Previous leadership experience in housekeeping
  • Ability to work independently, autonomously, and without supervision
  • Excellent problem solving
