The Role:

As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will coordinate activities of workers engaged in analyzing finished potato products. You will participate in the continuous improvement process, providing your expertise in improvements that may impact or affect Food Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicates and collaborates with other production supervisors with any problems or changes in department and policies.
• Guide and mentor, the Quality Control Technicians, Quality Control Leads, Quality Control Coordinator, and Bacteria Technicians and ensure performance is accurate and in compliance with established procedures.
• Promotes and leads in company safety work rules and regulations.
• Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process
• Participates in continuous improvement process.
• Ensures working areas are clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Research and answer customer complaints.
• Prepare product cuttings, data collection, report analysis, & lead safety meetings on monthly basis.
• Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.

Qualifications:

• Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) experience an asset
• 2 years of Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing setting preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Business Administration
• Able to coach, mentor, and develop team member
• Champion of Change
• Microbiology Experience an asset

Salary:

$70,000-$75,000 USD annually + Benefits (+ 6% Tip)

The salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, exact compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.
