Title: High School Fellowship Program Manager, Phillip N. Truluck Center for Leadership Development
Reports To: Director, Phillip N. Truluck Center for Leadership Development
Job Summary: The High School Fellowship Program Manager will launch and manage the newly established High School Fellowship program as an integral contributor to Heritage’s conservative talent pipeline. The Program Manager will also oversee and drive learning programs’ recruiting and marketing efforts, coordinating digital and traditional marketing campaigns and activities to increase current application totals and achieve established recruiting goals. The position requires a highly collaborative team player who can manage direct responsibilities in coordination with larger departmental and organizational objectives and achieve ambitious and targeted goals.
Job Duties:
- Work collaboratively with internal partners across the organization to coordinate initiatives and resources to promote Heritage’s learning programs.
- Launch, develop, and manage Heritage’s High School Fellowship Program for 30 high-performing conservative students from across the country.
- In coordination with Outreach Department colleagues, travel to conferences and events in both DC and across the country to promote Heritage programs, identify prospective applicants, and recruit candidates.
- In collaboration with Heritage-wide teammates, develop and execute creative marketing and recruitment strategies to grow existing programs for maximum effectiveness within the dynamic Conservative Movement talent landscape.
- Maintain POC status with program prospects, participants, and alumni.
- Develop and recommend program content and speakers; issue speaking invitations and manage scheduling for all program speakers.
- Manage all logistics for day-of-program needs, including organizing participant reimbursements and travel packages for residential weekends.
- Develop and maintain program landing pages on Heritage’s website and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Create and maintain program application materials and processes; review program applications and candidates, managing all follow-up communications with applicants and selected participants.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate education in administration, management, or communications preferred.
Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in the conservative movement.
Communication: Public speaking, persuasive written and verbal communication, social media messaging, aptitude and willingness to learn LinkedIn Recruiter, Marketo, and Docebo.
Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems.
Other Requirements:
- Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the department’s goals and objectives.
- Understanding of the conservative movement and familiarity with key talent partner organizations.
- Ability to work creatively and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Completion of a Heritage training program a plus.
- Record of successful project or program management.
