Summary:
The Hemodialysis Technician functions as part of the hemodialysis team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for assigned patient. Provides patient care under the direct visual supervision of a registered nurse. Sets up and primes equipment (as directed by the supervising nurse) for renal replacement therapies. Initiates renal replacement according to prescribed physician orders. Required education includes a Hemodialysis Technician Program that includes didactic training and a 250-hour externship clinical experience. Preferred certification includes Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT). Required experience includes 6 months experience in Acute Care or 6 months experience in an outpatient hemodialysis unit.

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 5am-6pm

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, Shift 2 = Evenings, Shift 3 = Nights, Shift 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Every Other

On Call: No
