Job Description

Position is estimated to support a hybrid work arrangement that includes a mix of remote work and on-site work (likely 1-2 day/week) at the NIH in Bethesda, MD.


TASKS

(1) Provide administrative project management and writing to support research programs, including but not limited to coordinate meetings with grantees, track project progress, review the Division of Behavioral and Social Research (BSR) grants’ data sharing activities and management plans.

(2) Summarize progress on studies and scientific publications generated by the programs and prepare clear and substantive reports and PowerPoint presentations

(3) Coordinate and schedule meetings with investigators, organizations, and other government agencies engaged in data sharing and provide assistance to prospective grantees on how to draft the data sharing and management plans.

(4) Monitor the status of data sharing policy compliance and progress on data sharing aims after grants are awarded

(5) Develop a plan to improve the outreach, education, and interaction strategies of the Branch/Division.

(6) Lead efforts to improve database tools and other programs by coordinating and hosting meetings with database stakeholders.

(7) Research and assemble outlines of new milestone proposals for evaluation by staff.

(8) Analyze program activities to identify issues, possible alternatives, and develop recommendations for improvement; track project progress and action items

(9) Draft funding plans; develop milestones and budgets for current and potential projects; and for transitioning projects through different phases and stages.

(10) Work with the Director of Strategic Initiatives on the development of strategic plans, initiatives, solicitations and consultation activities.

(11) Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, notes, and background information, and coordinate follow-up as needed


REQUIREMENTS

(1) Master’s degree in Public Health, Psychology, Health Services, or related behavioral or social science discipline

(2) Project management experience that includes monitoring project timelines, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and background materials, and synthesizing and summarizing progress on studies and scientific publications

(3) Knowledge of NIH funding mechanisms and research agreements preferred

(4) Knowledge of and/or experience with IRB amendments, human subjects protection issues, and/or aging-related research
