Position Overview:

As the Head of Operations at DPV Transportation Inc., you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our operations to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our operational functions, ensuring the smooth execution of transportation services, and driving continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities:

• · Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with the sales team ensuring timely and quality service delivery.
• · Performance Management: Set performance goals and KPIs for the operations team, ensuring targets are met or exceeded. Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate corrective measures.
• · Customer Service: Collaborate with the customer service department to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
• · Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize accidents, injuries, and liability.
• · Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork, collaboration, and professional development. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and mentor team members.
• · Technology Implementation: Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency, such as fleet management systems, route optimization software, and real-time tracking tools.
• · Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the operational efficiency of the company, aligning with the overall business objectives.
• · Budgeting and Cost Control: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the operations budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize operational expenses without compromising quality or safety.
• · Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the operation, including fleet management, route planning, scheduling, dispatching, and driver management.
• · Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate operational processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

• · Strong project and implementation management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and drive successful outcomes for complex initiatives.
• · Preferred certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, showcasing a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• · Proficiency in using CRM systems, dispatching and scheduling software
• · Strong proficiency in LMA (Leadership, Management, and Accountability) principles, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and exceed performance expectations.
• · Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) principles and practices is preferred.
• · Proven experience in leading teams, with a track record of successfully managing 8+ direct reports.
• · Extensive transportation industry experience of 10+ years, with a deep understanding of the operational dynamics and challenges within the industry.
• · Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
• · In-depth knowledge of safety and compliance regulations within the transportation industry, ensuring adherence to all relevant standards and requirements.
• · Change management expertise, with a demonstrated ability to lead and guide teams through organizational changes and process improvements.
• · Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%-50% of the time to various locations as needed for operational oversight, client meetings, and industry events.
• · Demonstrated experience in owning and managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities, handling budgets of $20 million or more.
