General Summary:

The Head Coach is responsible for the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive
NJCAA Division Ill Men's Soccer Program. The recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes in
this program will be integral to this position. The Head Coach is responsible for all aspects that relate to
the Men's Soccer program to include the ongoing development of the student-athletes. The Head Coach
will also be expected to demonstrate the ability to promote the physical, intellectual, and social growth
of student-athletes.

• Work with Academic Advisor to monitor/track student-athletes progress in the classroom.
• Work with Strength and Condition Coach to develop pre-season conditioning program for student athletes.
• Responsible for scouting opposing teams and supervising games.
• Responsible for the recruitment of players as directed by the Director of Athletics and consistent with NJCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and comply with all rules and guidelines set forth by the NJCAA Division Ill, Roxbury Community College, and Roxbury Community College Athletics,
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Teach and set expectations of appropriate team conduct during competition, travel, practice and college event, and at any other times when the team is representing the College.
• Provide guidance to student-athletes through teaching life skills and social responsibility in order to improve their physical, intellectual and social maturity.
• Provide framework for student athletes to perform their potential by teaching and developing skill levels and game strategies for all team members during practice sessions in preparation for their use during intercollegiate competition while utilizing proper judgement in the instruction and expectations while operating with the highest possible safety standards observed.
• Create an environment through instruction and modeling for student-athletes to observe and learn integrity, camaraderie, and respect in order to provide a positive environment for all student athletes.
• Plan, organize and manage all in-season and out of season practices and competitions.
• Provide support directly to student-athletes and create a network of support within the team and through the usage of other campus support entities.
• Retain student-athletes on the team, and at RCC.

Job Requirements:

• Previous Soccer coaching experience 1-2 years.
• Previous playing experience.
• Coaching experience at the high school or college level required.
• Associates and or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Extensive Knowledge of soccer.

Additional Information:

This is a Part-time Non Unit position

Schedule: Fall Season (Typically between August and November) Schedule will be further discussed during the time of hire.
Salary: $10,000 to be paid over 10 installments.
