Bear's Best - Premier Las Vegas Public Golf Course

Bear’s Best Las Vegas is a unique golf course made up of 18 holes hand selected by Jack Nicklaus from his 270 designs worldwide. This high-end daily fee course includes manicured bent grass greens, challenging designs, and immaculate fairway/tee complexes. We pride ourselves on offering a venue ideal for all golfers, corporate entertaining, golf outings, and private parties.

Nicklaus and his design team scoured photos and plans from hundreds of holes from many of his most notable golf course designs around the world to come up with these 18 holes, saying after the process that it just might have been more challenging to organize the existing 18 than to create all new holes. But by borrowing from the past to shape the future of Vegas golf, the end result is a must-play experience that stands alone.

Job Summary

The Head Golf Pro is responsible for promoting the game of golf through operational structure and programming that provides a first class environment for Members and guests. The Head Golf Pro develops all golf operations department budgets including forecasts to see that all financial goals are met.

Day-to-Day

• Develop aggressive Golf revenue sales, marketing, and net revenue plans.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing all staff.
• Acute understanding of the critical role that Membership and exceeding expectations play regarding the success of the operation.
• Responsible for all golf operations at the Club, including, golf carts, bag room, locker room, golf shop, special tournaments, and Member/Guest events.
• Direct successful implementations by following established Invited budgeting and revenue guidelines.

About You

• Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, Employee Partners and Guests.
• College degree preferred.
• Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills.
• PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion.
• Comprehensive knowledge of expense control as it relates to payroll and the forecasting and budgeting of expenses.
• Experience with tee sheets and inventory systems.
