A Digital Engagement Manager with bread & Butter is a social media whiz kid, go-getter, and many-hat wearer who is ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work. You can’t get enough social media, you always have your eye on who to follow next and social listening is your jam. You are the account dynamo, helping meet client goals by crafting a social media voice and channeling brand sentiment to build authentic, relevant, interactive conversations and relationships. A proverbial eager beaver, you meet or beat deadlines, stay ahead of trends and always look for a new way to skin a cat. A DEM for bread & Butter should be thoughtful, creative, a strong writer, possess an almost obsessive attention to detail. You're the first to get in the mix when helping means the chance to learn more.

Available Opportunity:

A Digital Engagement Manager for bread & Butter serves as the moderator of voice and tone on social media through community support, content distribution and digital engagement daily. Digital Engagement Managers serve as a representative of the company and as a liaison between clients and their social audience. Digital Engagement Manager report to the Social Media Strategist.

Here’s What We Need:

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, responding to consumers and guests within a brand’s voice during daily community management practices.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Help vet incoming influencer/media/brand partnership requests, identifying followership, engagement and monetary expectations, passing to appropriate internal/external teams.
  • Knowledge of the latest and greatest online engagement tactics to implement new audience acquisition tactics, including engaging with trending topics, events, hashtags, people, places and brands to acquire new followers.
  • Engage in social listening for clients, understanding how to identify competitive set tone and sentiment.
  • Content fanatic - excited to support photo and video content creation for hotels and restaurants.
  • Flexibility and a desire for endless possibilities
  • Obsessive eye for detail with a knack for to conducting online reputation monitoring for user-review sites such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google, etc., as well as responding to questions and complaints with approved messaging.
  • Ability to peer and self-edit writing quickly, checking for and replying to comments and questions utilizing community response library within appropriate timeframe.
  • Love of Later for campaign management, including ensuring Later's system connectivity is working, how to turn approved content, schedule similar content across platforms and add appropriate tags, hashtags and link in bio info.
  • Extensive knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube and other relevant social media networks.
  • Capacity to find and engage with likeminded brands, local partners, businesses, media, influencers and tastemakers that contribute to increased engagement and new followers.
  • Love of a fast-paced environment and the satisfaction of a busy yet productive day
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and handling multiple projects.
  • Media junkie - there’s no such thing as reading/watching too much. Bonus points for pop culture acumen.
  • Problem solver extraordinaire, you know how to confidently address client’s social audience, as well as real time issues that require immediate attention.
  • Background in creative development, social media analytics tools, and campaign analysis.
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in social media management and/or social media marketing within the food, beverage and/or hospitality industry.
