Illumination Dynamics, Inc. is looking for a Lighting and Grip Repair Technician with a positive attitude and strong work ethic to work in our Charlotte, NC office. The Lighting and Grip Repair Technician Role is responsible to repair and maintain in proper working order motion picture lighting and grip equipment which includes electronic equipment, basic electrical equipment including electrical distribution boxes and lighting fixtures and hardware such as mechanical stands and assorted other hardware items.

Essential Job Functions:

• Daily duties include but are not limited to, repairing both grip and lighting equipment as needed
• Able to drive a truck and forklift
• Pulling orders; testing equipment; cleaning equipment and trucks before they go out and upon their return; load and unload trucks; clean warehouse.
• Valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles
• Complete all required paperwork to include; filing out parts request forms for repair parts needed for equipment repairs, filling out M&D’s, partial returns, short lists, pull lists, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic computer knowledge
• Good electrical knowledge and strong mechanical skills as it pertains to the responsibility of the role.
• Knowledgeable with basic hand tools
• Maintain a Valid Driver’s License
• Basic tool and mechanical knowledge aptitude
• Able to use and properly read a voltage meter
• Able to drive a forklift and a truck
