Supervisor:
Graphic Designer (GD) reports to Art Director/Creative Director
Summary:
Saxton Horne Communications is an in-house marketing office for Larry H. Miller Dealerships and Asbury Automotive Group. Right now, we need a skilled graphic designer to create and execute high-level graphic design for our clients. This includes brand/campaign development, preparing ads for web use, and providing assets for video editors. The graphic designer will work with project managers, other designers, creative directors, copywriters, editors, and other team members to deliver on time, on budget and showing great creative thinking.
Education/Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and provide marketable solutions from concept to production and delivery
- Proficiency with current Adobe Creative Suite on Mac OS
- Good organizational skills and a critical eye for design and typography, including branding work, layout, photo-retouching and image manipulation
- Associates degree (2 year) or bachelor’s degree (4 year) in advertising, communication design, or visual arts is preferred OR 2-plus years of applied design/advertising-related experience
- Working knowledge of printing industry

- Possess the ability to lead and delegate tasks to accomplish company’s goals and maintain a 100% error-free target
- Possess exceptional technical skills, mature judgment, flexibility, and independence, but also follow direction from Art/Creative Director
- Be a contributor to our dynamic, engaging company culture
- Create engaging designs for clients/projects, maintain and evolve the existing brands, and add value to everything they touch
- See individual design projects as part of a ‘bigger picture’ that affects branding, marketing and strategy for clients
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and an eye for detail
Job Requirements:
- Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the Asbury Automotive Group
- Present graphic design plans and direction to clients
- Must have an online portfolio of design work for review
- Understand the nature of clients’ products, business culture and the competition
- Work well with creative team members, clients and vendors
- Review product for errors and proper treatment of clients' logos
- Ability to discuss and present design concepts and evaluate work with internal design team
- Ability to supervise self to achieve assigned deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Graphic design skills and a critical eye for design and typography, including branding work, layout, photo-retouching and image manipulation
Physical Requirements:
- Required vision include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers and move about facilities.
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time
Salary:
- $60,000 – $70,000 Annually
