Zynga is looking for an outstanding ARTIST to join the new Blockchain organization and support the Visual Direction across the ZBC portfolio. This work encompasses an art role with many touchpoints (UI, 2D, 3D, etc.) to support the game’s Creative Direction at all stages of development from pre-dev to live-ops.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Brings a Graphic Design lens into UI and 2D production art creation.
• Work closely with Creative Direction to align with art needs from a multi-disciplinary lens.
• Creation of art assets and assessment of outstanding art needs to ensure timely project deliverables of ZBC scope.
• Implements all art content direct to engine and ensures consistency of visual quality.
• Proactive self-starter.
• Team player that has diverse experience in the art space.
• Be able to learn from a style guide and move forward with project style and asset related needs.
• High caliber and integrity of art quality that fits within the style target.
• Keeps informed of innovative approaches and technologies within the art sector and communicates opportunities to further the look and feel.
• Communicative and flexible to team needs and dynamics.
• Enjoys working within 2D and 3D to contribute widely across creative and gameplay needs.
• Organized and proactive in creating and maintaining art repo structure and naming conventions.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Core Adobe Creative Suite skills, including the Adobe Substance 3D Collection.
• Proven experience in game development including multiple shipped titles.
• Experience in Motion Graphics Animation and VFX a plus.
• Material and Shader Development
• 2D, UI, with select UX
• Vector Art
• Engine implementation
• Scripting knowledge is a plus including, but not limited to: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Python, MEL, MAXscript.
• Illustration
• Comfortable with fluidly transitioning from 2D to 3D art tasks, including but not limited to:
• 4+ years of experience in gaming industry and game platforms like Unity or Unreal
• 3D Animation
• Solid understanding of core principles of art and graphic design.
• Base knowledge of W2 and W3, NFT, and Blockchain.
• Effective communication with team members of varying disciplines including written documentation of pipeline processes, with a focus on art.
• Excellent skills with 3D software such as 3ds Max, Maya, etc.
• Understanding of optimizing 3D and 2D assets for memory and performance considerations.
• 3D Character Modeling
