About The Position
The Art Director will work with the VP of Creative Services and key internal stakeholders to combine creative vision, leadership skills, and an understanding of marketing and design principles to bring a cohesive and visually compelling aesthetic to projects. The primary role is to ideate concepts, provide and execute creative direction and ensure the visual aesthetics align with the overall vision and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Art direct and design projects from concept to mechanical file completion.
  • Communicate ideas at a conceptual level through clear roughs, layouts and mechanicals.
  • Lead creative ideation and brainstorming sessions to elevate creative and tackle new initiatives.
  • Create brand and campaign communications including content and copy.
Required Education And Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in designing and producing marketing materials.
  • College Degree in marketing, business, or similar preferred.
Required Skills
  • General Knowledge of photography and ability to create and direct photo shoots.
  • Able to think conceptually and work well with copywriters and designers
  • Drawing. Able to sketch out concepts in a clear way
  • Knowledge of production requirements across media and experience in preparing/reviewing mechanical files
  • Advanced knowledge of the standard software packages in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premiere Pro or equivalent)
  • HTML development and ability to shoot/edit short form, simple videos and shoot photography (Propelled Brands uses a high quality camera and studio)
  • Product knowledge from materials, substrates, displays to various printing processes.
  • Experience in logo design and brand identity
  • Knowledge of all types of printing processes.
