Job Description
Internet2 is a non-profit, member-driven advanced research and higher education technology community. The Internet2 Community Engagement division is seeking a Grants Manager to support the full life cycle of grant activities for Internet2, including compliance and the coordination and submission of reporting deliverables. This individual will support the development of grant proposals, grant progress reports, grant budges projections, grant invoicing, and the day-to-day management of grant awards.


Responsibilities


  • Grant deliverable and reporting tracking, including the collections of grant-specific audit documentation.
  • Internally correspond with accounting on monthly grant financials and legal to review agreements.
  • Monthly review of all expenditures posted to grant awards to ensure appropriateness, allowability, allocability and reasonableness.
  • Sub-recipient compliance monitoring, including assuring timely review and processing of sub-award and other grant specific invoices.
  • Preparation of monthly invoices and drawdown requests.
  • Pre-award coordination of new grant proposals and letters of collaboration/support and maintenance of standard grant related documents and templates and ensuring timely responses to day-to-day grant related questions.
  • Interact with peers at differing organizations to facilitate the review and negotiation of sub-awards. This individual may also interface with federal agencies to request approval compliance related items.
  • Processing of requests for reimbursement for Participant Support, Employee and Contractor travel.
  • Interact with different levels within the organization to coordinate grant proposals and progress reporting.


The qualified candidate will have the following:


  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Federal sub-recipient oversight experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal grant related compliance and accounting principles, specifically 2CFR200
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in full-cycle grants administration, specifically with NSF and other federally-sponsored awards


Other Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:


  • Ability to identify proposal strengths and deficiencies based on agency guidelines
  • Ability to review and critique grant-focused processes
  • Experience writing technical reports for NSF research projects
  • Ability to translate concepts into practice


The Sponsored Programs Manager will report to the Director of Grants Administration. This is a fully remote position. Internet2 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
