Its mission is to provide pathways to a better quality of life, to break the cycle of poverty. Austin Pathways provides a broad range of service coordination for subsidized housing and Project Based Rental Assistant (PBRA) residents with four pillars of service delivery, including youth education, workforce development, digital inclusion, and health and wellness. Job position summary: Responsible f or seeking and actively pursuing government and private funding or contractual opportunities, and managing the research, planning, coordinating and development of grant or contract proposals. Performs proposal development, reporting, and monitoring activities throughout the life of the grant cycle. Monitors compliance of grant funded programs and contractual obligations to meet and/or exceed proposed goals. The job requires someone with initiative and independent judgement who will bring flexibility, innovation, creativity, teamwork, research, and organizational skills to the position. Conducts extensive community outreach and research to identify local, state and national public and private funding and contracting opportunities, and appropriate partners to support funding needs for Austin Pathways' resident services. Summary of Essential Functions : Collaborates with various Austin Pathways and other agency departments to compile community needs assessment data, develop grant vision and goals, compose grant reports, create surveys, compile and submit grant proposals and metrics while adhering to deadlines. Effectively writes and compiles grant and contract proposals. Synthesizes conceptual plans into logistical outlines, performance measures, and program timelines through professionally appealing charts and visual data. Develops and monitors project budgets and reports any noticeable variances and provides recommendations to remedy budget variances. Plans activity around application and reporting deadlines to ensure deadlines are met. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, and actively participates as a team player in agency sponsored community activities and events. For description that is more detailed please email: Qualification and Knowledge : Required : Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with proof of a grant-writing portfolio. Degree in Social Sciences, Liberal Arts, Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, or Business Administration. Preferred : Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Grant writing, fundraising, and management experience with a proven portfolio of financial awards. Ability to write, read, and speak fluent Spanish desired. Knowledge of funding sources available to non-profits, health organizations, digital inclusion, small businesses, and Housing Authorities. Knowledge of contracting opportunities, finance, procurement, and bidding processes. Good knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to low-income housing and Housing Authority policies and procedures on such housing. A writing test will be administered as part of the interview process.
