Job Description

The Grants, Budgeting and Special Projects Manager will facilitate the research, development, review, editing, and submission of institutional grant proposals and works closely with staff in developing and transforming ideas into grant proposals. The Grants, Budgeting and Special Programs Manager will coordinate, oversee and manage the Health West budgeting process as well as prepare budgets in accordance with federal, state and private funding source requirements. The Grants, Budgeting and Special Programs Manager will manage special programs linked to current grants and Patient Centered Medical Home.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Tracks all grants applications.
  • Report back on grant opportunities that were suggested with recommendation for apply or not and why.
  • Leads Grant meetings per schedule.
    • Prepares for meeting by identifying grant opportunities that meet the mission of Health West. Outlines, purpose, amount, rules and limitations.

  • Working with sponsors and stakeholders to complete project designs by outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing.
  • All submissions will be submitted to the CFO and CEO for review well in advance of the application due date.

    • Involve department heads and clinic administrators in the budget development process.

  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare or related area required.
