The CHARIOT Grant and Content Writer is responsible for research, writing, editing content for publication supporting an increased awareness and funding of the CHARIOT Program. This role also, in collaboration with the CHARIOT Team, reviews, writes, and edits research manuscripts, protocols, and grants.

Essential Functions

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

  • Ensure that grant proposals move expeditiously through the proposal development process, focusing on timeliness, quality, consistency, and compliance of grants processing. Monitors grants received to ensure that guidelines and restrictions are followed.
  • Researches, writes, and edits original content for internal and external communication. Conducts research and liaisons with research staff to ensure there's an accurate interpretation of complex research material and that the content is clear, meaningful, impactful, and readable for the target audience.
  • Research new grant opportunities that fit with current programmatic funding needs. Develops responses to requests for proposals and letters of intent on grants and funding.
  • Researches, writes, prepares, and revises grant applications and proposals for the CHARIOT program.
  • Assists in the development of formats and guidelines for clinical documentation. Revises research manuscripts, abstracts, and posters. May also support clinical research staff in research protocol development.
  • Responsible for creating and editing written academic content for publishing. Creates copy to promote and establish awareness for the CHAIOT Program including promotional materials, brochures, and national print journals. Proofreads, edits and fact-checks content prior to publication.
  • Provides continuing content development and revision, ensuring consistency of material. Determines and ensures an effective structure and layout for complex research material. Partners with Marketing Team to update content on internal/external web sites.

Minimum Qualifications

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One (1) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Licensure/Certification: None required.

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $59,349.89 to $78,691.40
