Senior Global Buyer/Planner

One of the fastest-growing manufacturing and distribution companies within the Packaging industry is seeking a Senior Global Buyer/Planner to join the team in St. Charles, IL! In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials and finished products to meet demand while maintaining quality and competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate with multiple suppliers and prepare long-term contracts
• Manage inventory levels and surplus/obsolete inventories
• Communicate with suppliers to manage delivery and quality
• Manage procurement and planning processes from suppliers worldwide
• Ensure supply levels are in line with demand and lead times
• Generate reports on cost savings, inventory trends, and supplier performance

Requirements:

• Knowledge of import logistics processes and working with international suppliers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement and global sourcing
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a highly cross-functional organization
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations or Supply Chain
• Strong analytical and system skills
