The McDonald's US Payroll team is part of the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, which provides full hire-to-retire services such as onboarding, payroll, and benefits processing for close to 70,000 employees located in the US and Canada. GBS is committed to delivering 100% Customer Satisfaction in a timely, high quality and accurate manner while ensuring adherence to internal controls. We are looking for someone to help us with a variety of payroll and global mobility activities, including account reconciliations, data analytics and reporting.

This role is based at our office location in Oakbrook, IL.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Operations and HR functions to ensure payroll data is properly transmitted by the restaurants
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal and Benefits, to ensure compliance with daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Process crew and staff transactions including new hires, terminations, salary changes and special check requests
  • Research and resolve exceptions for all pay cycles
  • Assist McOpCo Human Resources, Operations and employees with payroll inquiries by various methods including a call center support line
  • Respond to labor inquiries
  • Complete ad hoc requests, as they come in
  • Run queries and prepare journal entries to distribute expatriate labor costs to global markets

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of customer service experience in a professional business setting
  • 3+ years of experience processing and/or calculating payroll and other compensation transactions, such as reimbursements, and analyzing financial data
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree is highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Competence towards technology and online applications
  • Payroll certification
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Previous call center experience
  • Prior experience with expat payroll
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, general ledger, etc.)
