Global Journal Of Hip-Hop Peer Reviewer

On behalf ofWords Beats & Life: The Global Journal of Hip-Hop Culture(WBLJ), I offer this invitation to scholars and artists to apply for membership on our editorial board as a peer reviewer. WBLJ is seeking reviewers from all disciplines to assist in reviewing scholarly articles, essays, fiction, and poetry for the journal. Selected reviewers will be matched to submissions within their field of research or discipline.

The practice of peer review is the most important service WBLJ offers to the hip-hop community. As the first published peer-reviewed academic journal of hip-hop studies, we take seriously our responsibility as a leader in the intellectual and artistic curation of hip-hop culture.The role as an editorial board member, then, is critical in the journal’s commitment to nurturing and showcasing the creative talents and expertise within the field in a layout that is uniquely hip-hop inspired.

The benefits of refereeing for WBLJ include the opportunity to read, see, and evaluate the latest work in your research area at an early stage. You will also contribute to the overall integrity of hip-hop arts and cultural studies and its published documentation. You may also cite your work for WBLJ as part of your professional development requirements.

Our referees play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of WBLJ. All manuscripts are peer-reviewed following the procedure outlined in ourpeer review policy.[*]

The peer reviewer's duties are to:

·Read, score, and provide review comments on manuscripts.

·Using the evaluation rubric, submit a detailed and constructive review to the subject editor within two weeks of receiving the manuscript.

·Make publishing recommendations.
