What You’ll Do

elling Freightliner and Western Star trucks is hiring a General Manager for its facility in La Crosse WI.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • The General Manager role oversees the day-to-day operations of the dealership, as well as collaborates with Sales, Service, Parts, and Body ShopManagers to help strengthen existing and develop new customer relationships
  • Working with department managers to plan and develop goals/objectives for service, sales, parts, and body shop departments
  • Assessing and continuously managing departments to ensure department goals and target revenues are met or exceeded
  • Recommend and create improvements and procedures
  • Manage operational programs and costs to maintain and increase profits
  • Motivate and train management team to maximize their ability and growth potential
  • This role also assists with recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training of new team members

What We’re Looking For

Ideal candidates possess the following qualities:

  • Ideal candidates will have five-years in a leadership or management position, preferably in a dealership environment
  • Strong knowledge of the market and business strategies, and an in-depth understanding of financial data
  • Verifiable track record of successfully meeting and exceeding goals, as well as managing department profitability while controlling expenses and maintaining customer relationships and customer satisfaction
  • The preferred candidate will be highly self-motivated, goal oriented, and have an enthusiastic presence in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiating skills, as well as strong computer aptitude and communication skills are required
  • Knowledge of or previous use of CDK Dealer Services experience is a plus
