Position Purpose:
Responsible for effective operations within the OpCo. Develops and implements operating policies and procedures across functions such as: sales, customer service, quality control standards, purchasing, inventory control, materials management, logistics/transportation distribution and facilities maintenance and planning. Conducts and reviews feasibility of new or revised systems and procedures. Responsible for all supply chain management functions within the OpCo. Requires thorough involvement with sales, operations, procurement/marketing, customer service, and finance. Supervises senior level staff at one or more location(s). Leads and manages the OpCo, which provides distribution services to customers in defined geographic area. Accountable for achieving established profit, Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA), and other financial measures of the OpCo. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Review reporting and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Review operating results of the OpCo, compare them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results. Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine OpCo progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Establishes operating policies consistent with company broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution. Provide guidance, advice, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies.
- Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Ensure the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood. Maintain leadership development practices that promote and provide for capable management succession.
- Guide and direct management in the development, promotion, and sale of the OpCo's services.
- Maintain sound public relations practices to improve the company's image and relationships with customers, associates, and the public. Promote and practice effective communication and adequate flow of information. Represents the organization with customers, associates, vendors, the financial community, and the public.
- Planning and budgeting to achieve business objectives, and coordinate functions between departments to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives. Establish current and long range objectives, plans, and policies. Direct the preparation of the annual OpCo budget.
Required Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
Required Experience:
6-10 Years in Finance, Accounting, Operations, and/or sales within foodservice industry.
Supervisory Experience
High Proficiency in Microsoft Office, such as Excel, and programs.
Strong Analytical skills
Ability to interact effectively across organization with diplomacy and tact.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education: bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Preferred Experience: 10 Years or more in Finance, Accounting, Operations, and/or sales within foodservice industry.
Supervisory/management experience.
