General Counsel

• Coordination of external counsel and professional advisers in the US and internationally.
• Cover the full legal scope demanded by a high-growth international corporation, including M&A, Corporate, Finance, Commercial, IT/New Technologies.
• Interaction with all relevant stakeholders of Körber Supply Chain, including its shareholders.
• Creation, maintenance and optimization of model contracts and guidelines.
• Providing strategic legal advice in national and international M&A and other projects, including the development of new business models.
• Manage the legal team with direct reports in the US, Germany, and UK, focusing on increasing its operational efficiency.
• Travel up 25%
• Monitoring relevant legislative procedures at national and global level.
• Setup of an effective document management system including all relevant legal documents of Körber Supply Chain.
• Manage, recruit, develop and retain a high-performing staff to ensure the function supports long-term talent development and succession.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating national and multinational contracts with customers and suppliers of a software business.

• Experience working as a senior executive team member at a software or IT technology company.
• The successful candidate must be legally astute and experienced in contractual negotiations. This implies a deep legal knowledge and understanding of legal terms and business compliance rules.
• Executive level communication and presence to be executive sponsor in selling process and interaction with board of directors and other senior stakeholders.
• Experience working in global corporate environment and is used to lead global teams.
• Have a strong sense of self and sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and present recommendations with clarity and conviction.
• This executive will be a grounded, hands-on problem-solver who is a self-starter and knows how to make things happen.
• The person will be passionate about building teams, developing people, and creating a strong identity and culture while working across global time zones in a diverse environment.
• Team mentality - demonstrates a “listen first” approach, collaborates with peers to find solutions and keeps ego in check.
• Experience is needed in building local and global processes for a mature and efficient working legal organization.
• Passion for process improvement – simultaneously building for future, seeking creative solutions, and achieving results against current targets.
• The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates.
• Experience in managing change in larger organization by managing buy-in from senior stakeholders and bringing a vision to life.
• Master’s Degree in Law.
• Demonstrates professional curiosity and is willing to learn and improve based on data, metrics, and input from others.
